Antonín Dvořák String Sextet in A major op. 48 Dvořák's only sextet (for two violins, violas and cellos each) was written shortly after the Slavonic Dances op.46. It has a distinctly national tone in all movements. The themes are cantabile, easy to grasp and dance-like.
