Matthias Rexroth and Ilja Korol are proven experts in baroque music and, above all, specialists in its performance. Therefore, the desire developed to bring together baroque vocal and instrumental practice in a special course by the two internationally renowned lecturers.

Matthias Rexroth, born in Coburg, studied oboe and voice at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and privately with Marilyn Horne. The countertenor is an opera and concert singer, and he works as a vocal coach and conductor.

Ilja Korol was born in Kiiv (Ukraine) and has lived in Vienna since 1997. He studied violin at the Moscow Conservatory and has played with orchestras such as Musica Antiqua Köln, with the Vienna Academy, Musica Angelica L. A., Joshua Rifkin's Bach Ensemble, and with the Spanish Baroque Orchestra RCOC as soloist and as concertmaster.
