R!SK I Music Scene Performance

R!SK is a festival developed by students themselves for everything new and different. The musicians present their work throughout the MUT of the Hochschule für Musik: Compositions, interpretations, improvisations and installations - true to the conviction: The higher the risk, the greater the chance of winning!?

R!SK is conceived as a "Hop On - Hop Off Festival" and offers different concert formats that can also be selected and attended independently of each other, depending on your interests. But it's worth being there from the beginning, because the spectrum ranges from music for solo instruments to chamber music ensembles and vocal performances to live electronics. The Karlsruhe-Berlin cooperation between the Karlsruhe and Hanns Eisler Berlin Colleges of Music is also part of R!SK, with ensembles from each college founded especially for this project premiering compositions by composers from the other college.

Between the concerts, composers, performers, organisers and, last but not least, the new rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Matthias Wiegandt, will discuss in the R!SK Lounge what it means in art to take risks and whether this applies equally to all participants. Festival visitors are also invited to talk about their risk of listening. On the R!SK wall, visitors' comments and thoughts can create a mood picture of expectations before and experiences after the concerts.
