According to paragraph § 22 of the enrollment statutes of the University of Music Karlsruhe, enrolled students, including those on leave, who wish to continue their studies the following semester must register within a specified period announced by notice in the semester manual, on the homepage at this link.
Certain students will require a statement from their ECTS account for reregistration. They will receive this at the Study Services Office, provided they have submitted a transcript with all required signatures (see Transcript and ECTS points).
This pertains to the following students:
- Bachelor of arts School Music students seeking to register for semester 3, 5, or 7.
- Master of arts School Music students seeking to register for semester 3.
- Bachelor of arts students (except in Musicology / Music Informatics and Music Journalism) seeking to register for semester 3, 5, 7, or - if extended - 9.
- Master of arts students (except in Musicology/ Music Informatics and Music Journalism) seeking to register for semester 3 or - if extended - 5.
If a student fails to follow up within the stated limits or does not provide all necessary documents by the deadline, an extension may be granted upon request. An administrative fee of € 40 is payable if a grace period or late confirmation is needed.
Any planned leave of absence, change of instructor or related matter must be submitted to the Examinations Office/ Rectorate with a separate application for approval. Applications for change of instructor are made informally; leave of absence forms are available from the Registrar's Office and may be downloaded from this webpage.
