Work and production requirements are optimal; next to the seminar area are a fully digital, virtual 3D television studio, radio broadcasting/ production studios, and multimedia production pools as well as editing rooms. Here students have access to the latest high-quality studio technology on the market. No other journalistic training center in Germany offers such professional prerequisites for instruction.

Multimedia Broadcasting and Production Studios

Practical training is a priority in both music journalism courses. Students produce television and online presentations, features, and programs in the fully digital, virtual 3D video studio. They also produce radio progams all year long and create music, cultural, and information programs. They broadcast live from two ultra-modern radio studios and may be heard in Karlsruhe on the 104.8 MHz FM frequency and online by livestream. Studios are equipped with the latest top-quality studio technology currently available. This enables students to become familiar with realities of cross-media media production and diverse major challenges  of their future profession in a more realistic and practical way than at any other institution of higher learning.

Detailed information about the program is at www.jungerkulturkanal.de

Since autumn 2013, a glass radio broadcasting and production studio has been an impressive attraction in the foyer of the Wolfgang Rihm Forum, equipped with the finest quality, up-to-date studio technology currently available.

In addition to broadcasting, there are also live transmissions from the University of Music Karlsruhe concert hall. Here budding cultural and music journalists also perform live concert introductions to audiences.

A separate HDTV television studio and other editing rooms for audio and video ensure optimal production conditions. Students may be familiarized with circumstances of cross-media media production with diverse significant challenges of their chosen professional field in a highly realistic and practical way.
