Regina Reiter grew up in the Bavarian-Swabian town of Günzburg and began her saxophone training at the age of nine at the local music school. She studied classical saxophone at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and at the Würzburg University of Music, where she graduated with a Master of Music in Performance in 2019. She is currently studying in the master's program in piano chamber music in the class of Prof. Angelika Merkle at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, as well as in the distance learning program in culture and media management at the Hamburg University of Music. She gained important musical impulses during master classes with internationally renowned saxophonists such as Arno Bornkamp, Claude Delangle, Vincent David, Branford Marsalis, Asya Fateyeva and others. Since 2015 she has been sponsored by Live Music Now Frankfurt e. V. and has been successful in competitions both as a soloist and with the Sigma Piano Trio. In 2019, this ensemble released its debut CD "pathos". As a prize winner, Regina Reiter is sponsored by the Da Ponte Foundation Darmstadt, and in the academic year 2020/21 she received the Deutschlandstipendium.
