Opernkonzert 2022
Steinunn Sigurdardottir (soprano) and Florian Tavić (baritone) in the duet of Nedda and Silvio "Non mi tentar" from Pagliacci (The Bajazzo) by Ruggero Leoncavallo

For more than 400 years, opera as a "powerhouse of emotions" has fascinated its audience as much as its performers. Many composers have influenced the development of this genre and still strike a chord with the emotions of their audiences today. The students of the Institute for MusicTheatre present a selection of their favourite scenes from the long history of opera, which have touched them emotionally and strengthened their decision to go on stage as opera singers. Well-known arias and scenes from the repertoire will be heard, composed by
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart • Ludwig van Beethoven • Gioacchino Rossini • Gaetano Donizetti • Richard Wagner • Charles François Gounod • Bedřich Smetana •  Peter I. Tchaikovsky • Ruggero Leoncavallo • Richard Strauss
