With the beginning of this academic year, three new professors have taken up their positions at the Karlsruhe University of Music.
Tatjana Vassiljeva-Monnier has been appointed professor of violoncello. She is first solo cellist of the Concertgebouw Orkest Amsterdam.

Dr. Elisabeth Theisohn is the new professor for music education (artistic teaching of music at grammar schools) and will be active in teaching and research in this field. Previously, she taught at the Freiburg University of Music.

Marcello Sung Hyuck Hong, most recently a member of the Hessian Radio Symphony Orchestra, has taken over the main subject training of double bass players at the Karlsruhe University of Music as a professor.
