Students of the Karlsruhe University of Music in the Bachelor's, Master's, soloist exam and school music programs as well as preschool students are eligible to participate.
Procedure and repertoire
The competition will be held in two rounds.

- one movement of free choice from one of the two piano quartets (in g minor KV 478 or in E-flat major KV 493) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
